This one-day course is compulsory for PhD students. During the course various issues will be addressed, such as authorship rules, where to go to if you suspect scientific misconduct and how to stay a person of integrity.

Program

During Covid-19 we plan the course to be given online through zoom, from 1:00 p.m - 5:30 p.m, till October 1st. After October 1st, 2021 we will start with live courses in the Erasmus MC from 1:00 p.m - 5:30 p.m.

Approximately two weeks before the course date you will receive homework assignments and the general information.

Cost

The course is offered free of charge to Erasmus MC PhD students, on the conditions that the student prepares well and attends the whole day and receives a course certificate at the end. Not successfully finishing the course day or cancellation less than two weeks before the course date, will lead to an invoice of €150 submitted to the head of Department.

We strongly suggest that you follow this course in the second year of your research project, so that all attendees have sufficient experience with research practices.
