PATIO-1
Research project  |  Physiotherapeutic Treat-to-target Intervention after Orthopaedic surgery; a cost-effectiveness study (PaTIO trail)

PATIO-project

To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the optimized, treat-to-target PPT strategy in TKA and THA patients compared to usual PPT. The hypothesis is that with the optimized strategy superior functional outcome can be achieved to usual care, with lower costs (superiority study).

What we do

About our project

Research question
Provides the “treat-to-target” postoperative physical therapy after THP and TKP better functional outcomes at lower costs compared to the usual PPT after THP and TKP?

Study population
Patients with clinical and radiological knee or hip osteoarthritis (OA) who are scheduled for a primary TKA or THA.
