About Prof. M.C.W. (Manon) Spaander, MD PhD
Introduction
Gastroenterologist specialized in gastrointestinal oncology. My research focus on screening, prevention and early detection of gastrointestinal cancers. Together with my research team we are working on how we can detect esophageal- gastric and colon cancer at an early, premalignant stage; improve current screening and surveillance strategies and investigate new technologies to detect cancer at an early or preliminary stage. Furthermore we are working on improvements in the treatment of Self Expandable Metal Stents in patients with malignant esophageal or gastric outlet stenosis.
